This is a Montmorency dwarf cherry tree in my yard, all in bloom in early May. I barely looked at them while the buds were opening up, and so I missed out the beautiful sight of the soft pink flowers. The flowers have mostly dropped and the fruits are starting to form. These are sour cherries, very small, but they make great pie. Another delightful event to anticipate, but I'm sad that I didn't appreciate the blooms while they were present. There is a life lesson here, I am sure.
