I’ve always liked small purses. These are the right size for experimenting to see how a type of fleece (Merino, Shetland, whatever) felts down. They’re not exactly the right size for smart phones and other devices, but I figure that there are many options there — I don’t need to offer the world yet another cell phone case. These just make me giggle.
I’m a member of my neighborhood UCC church, and it’s got an awesome thrift shop. Lots of old coats come through it, and I have picked up some vintage beauties that I wear, and some shopworn pieces that I will recycle into quilts. But the buttons on these coats are sometimes amazing. Finally, I have sorted them and bagged them up and now they wait to be put to use.
